Tammy: Emily is just a little wiggle worm! She is working her way around our room either by crawling or her brothers carrying her! She is pulling up, rolling, pushing to sit up, and sitting up on her own. Holy cow are we in trouble! She is laughing at her insane brothers. She is chatting away at just about everything. She has two teeth on bottom coming in and I will attest that they are nice and healthy teeth :) . She thinks she can hang with her brothers. She is adjusting well to the life of a Scott family member.

| Mommy's phone alarm went off at 4:00 am because she forgot to change the time and that was way to early for me. |
Ryan: Today we went to Wal-Mart (not to be confused with Wu Mart). We saw angry fish and huge grapes. They were a little bigger than a bouncy ball. We came back to our hotel and went swimming. The pool was very weird. You couldn’t jump or dive. Jonny could hardly stand in it but he swam pretty good.
Jonny: Today at Wal-Mart I saw this fish that was in a top container and there was a bottom container. An angry fish jumped from the top container to the bottom container with a big splash. I saw some type of eel that was very scary. They also had turtles, frogs, plain fish, and clams. Later on today, my sister grabbed my Sprite bottle and started to play with it. She was having a lot of fun. Later on I took a video and she was paying more attention to me instead of the bottle and I put the bottle in front of her and she chased it.
Roger: As the boys mentioned...today was Wal-Mart day. Most families use this shopping trip to buy things for the baby. We didn't need much for Emily but took the opportunity to buy a few "western" things....
We had lunch at Pizza Hut....much to the boys delight. They have been troopers with the food but it hasn't been easy.

It's not a vacation unless you visit the local Wal Mart!
ReplyDeleteWow, she's going to keep y'all running! It's so fun to follow your adventures in China--thanks for taking the time to write down your thoughts daily. I especially enjoy hearing the boys' perspective!
ReplyDeleteOh... I totally agree with Rhonda :)

Emily, the coincidences between us are amazing. I'm certain now that we are meant for each other. Walmart makes me tired too! --Trip
ReplyDeletePa says when you get back we are all going for sushi! :) I guess they don't have Dr. Pepper over there! It looks like you all are enjoying this new adventure in your lives!

What a memory. Walmart and pizza in china, all in one day. Sorry you can't get a DP, I'll be sure to have one for you today. :-). Emily's eyes just light up in these pictures. She knows a good thing when she sees it and the Scott family, her family is just that.
ReplyDeleteI'm just back from vacation and catching up on your adventure. I'm so incredibly happy for you all. She is such a beautiful girl - you are all so blessed. Sending you much love!!

Thank you to all of you for sharing your thoughts and stories, but especially your first days with precious Emily. Emily will fit into the Scott family just fine. Chinese Walmart, well, sounds interesting to be sure. Can't wait to read your next blog! Enjoy!

The boys can bring me back an angry fish and a bouncy ball grape - if they have room. That sounds like a trip to the aquarium and Wal-Mart all in one! ;-)
ReplyDeleteI, too, love the pic of Emily smiling behind her paci! We went shopping for her again today. Can't wait to give her the presents!
Cannot wait for Jean to get home to share in your joy. I never had any kids, but this makes me feel really a part, of your growing family. Overjoyed at the blog and how wonderfuly it is, and the way it has allowed all of us to smile and cry. God bless you so much. Miriam
ReplyDeleteThe Walmart there sounds WAY cooler than the one here! And I agree with Emily...I need a nap after an adventure through Walmart too! ~ Miranda B.
